What this notice covers
This notice explains cookies and browser storage used by the Romnaval website. A cookie is a small value stored by your browser; local storage is a separate browser mechanism which can retain preferences on the same device. The same privacy controls described below cover our optional language preference.
Storage used by this website
| Item | Purpose | Duration / choice |
|---|---|---|
| PHP session cookie, normally PHPSESSID | Links the survey form to a security token to help prevent forged submissions. Set when the form endpoint is requested. | Session cookie; browser session handling may affect deletion. Essential for the form. |
| romnaval-cookie-choice-v1 (local storage) | Records your selection and the time it was made. | The selection is recognised for 180 days, unless you clear browser data or change it. |
| romnaval-language-choice (local storage) | Remembers EN or RO between visits. | Optional. Used only after accepting language preference; removed when you select Essential only or return after the choice expires. |
Your choices
The first-visit notice offers Accept language preference and Essential only. Both options allow access to the website and request form. Essential only prevents persistent language storage; you can still change language for the current page session. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies in this website implementation.
Use at any time to change your selection. Selecting Essential only after acceptance removes the saved language preference. Your acknowledgement is remembered separately so the notice does not repeat on every page.
Browser controls and third-party links
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking session cookies may prevent the request form from working. Fonts and certificate images are hosted with the website rather than embedded from external services. Links to external websites do not load their cookies here; visiting those websites is subject to their own notices.
Contact and changes
Contact tech@romnaval.com about storage used by this website. Any future non-essential tracking would need an updated notice and appropriate consent before activation. This notice describes the current Romnaval website, not unrelated services or features of the reference websites.
